Stolen vehicles police suspect burglars used over the past week to break into one ATM and cart off another were found abandoned Tuesday on an abandoned road near Forest Ranch.

In what was billed as the launch of a new tradition, it was in with the old, in with the new, and out with the old for the Butte County Board of Supervisors.

Arrests of allegedly intoxicated drivers over the holiday period ending Jan. 1 were up in most north state communities compared to 2007.
